I’ve helped a local Commercial Real Estate Developer, Parkland Development for several years now with their WordPress web site, and today we launched their remodeled site. One of the first things that you notice is the Home page slideshow with layers that is full-width:
To keep the text layer on top of the photo slideshow legible, we used a translucent white layer background and then red plus black letters.
Also on the Home page is a Carousel of recently completed commercial properties. Yes, this is a photo-heavy site, where a photo is worth a thousand words. Only four menu choices across the top of each page make navigation quick and intuitive for visitors, Several of the property pages use Galleries to showcase the many real estate sites that have been developed, like Park 10 at Avondale.
Individual property pages can have multiple photos or 3D renderings to really show the architectural features and a Google map, like Mountainside Fitness, in Arizona.
The WordPress theme we used is responsive, so the site browses will on Desktop, Tablet and Mobile devices.
The Contact page uses a Form to send messages by email, all while hiding the client email address, in order to reduce spam. Another anti-spam feature is using the Google reCAPTCHA v3 to stop bogus form entries.
As with most projects this was a collaboration, where I asked lots of questions, then began showing the client various web layouts, until they were satisfied with the look, navigation and browsing experience. Let me know if your site could use a remodel, and then we’ll go through the process, which usually takes only several days to complete.
